Hongkong – Asia’s Shopping Hub

Are you fond of shopping? Hongkong is the best place to shop in South East Asia! Many shopping enthusiasts flock the city for its incredible sale events all year ‘round.

One of the things that visitors are fond of doing in Hongkong is hunting fashion finds for economically affordable prices.

Although my stay in Hongkong has been brief in a span of 3 full days, I witnessed enough of the shopping frenzy that is going on in the city. Shopping enthusiasts, like myself, love to visit Hongkong over and over for its quality shopping finds.

What to do and where to go in Hongkong:

The Victoria Peak
Many tourists flock the Victoria Peak because of two things: shopping in the Peak Tower and the Peak Galleria, and taking in the scene of the city offered from its peak. Many tourists enjoy eating and hanging out in the restaurants in the Victoria Peak that are usually situated in the shopping strips and commercial areas of the place. Another place to see in the Victoria Peak is the Victoria Peak Garden. The Victoria Peak Garden can be found on the site of Hongkong’s governor’s old summer home, the Mountain Lodge. From the Victoria Peak Garden, you can take a look and marvel at the sight of the city below that it offers as it is closest to the summit of the mountain.

Kowloon District
The district of Kowloon is the shopping haven for many who are on the quest for quality, top-notch electronic finds. Laptops, desktop computers, IPODs, digital and dSLR cameras, palmtops, state-of-the-art mobile phones, and other electronic accessories can be found in varying prices along the electronic retail stores scattered in the district.

Kowloon district also has many hotels that cater to those who want to live the high quality, five-star services they offer and to those who are on a tight budget. Restaurants and food finds can also be found scattered along the district.

Hongkong Disneyland
The newly constructed Disneyland franchise in Hongkong is the one of the recent places to check out in whenever you are in the city.

In Disneyland Hongkong, you get the feel of walking in on USA’s own Main Street on NYC, on the custom made USA Main Street of the theme park. Just like other Disneyland theme parks all over the world, Hongkong Disneyland offers a rich array of rides and things to see such as classic Disney films in 3D or 2D, and Disney products for sale on authentic Disney stores.

For those in neighboring South East Asian countries, accessing these Disney luxuries are easy and convenient with a Disneyland situated in Hongkong.

Another theme park to go to in Hongkong is the Ocean Park. Ocean Park offers a wide selection of cultural shows staged daily, water animals’ exhibitions especially in the Ocean Theatre, and some other wet and dry rides.

Hongkong is the place for those who are on tight budget or luxurious holidays and shopping sprees!
