Singapore: A City Brimming with Life

Plan to visit Asia for your holiday? Singapore is one of the South East Asian countries that millions of people choose to visit annually and visitors often exceed the total population of natives of the country’s capital city, Singapore City.

The tourism industry in the city is so organized that it provides vacationers with outstanding, innovative infrastructure and a safe and sanitary environment.

Singapore is a city brimming with life. Things to do to choose from in the city include: shopping, food, the vibrant nightlife, amusement parks, sightseeing and others can be found in the city.

Entertainment is at its peak in the South East Asian city. Singapore enjoys its unique setting and consists of many islands between the two other South East Asian countries, Malaysia and Indonesia. Singapore is a country with numerous attractions yet travelers find it difficult to see and witness all these but are able to get into those worth visiting and seeing.

Here are two places to be in when in the city:

Singapore Zoo
Visiting Singapore with your family? Your kids would enjoy the zoo in Singapore. Many go to the zoo annually to see animals in their right and natural homes.
Located right at the heart of the city, it is strategically placed very close to the night safari. The 28-hectare Singapore zoo is home to more than 150 different species of animals. Believe it or not, some of the species out of the 150 or more are rare and could only be seen in the zoo!

The whole place is fashioned in such a way that it could be like you were walking around the forest rather than a man made place so much so that you and your kids would enjoy touring the place and exploring every nook and crevice of it to see what animal live there.

Many animal shows are staged daily at the zoo. Children are also given the rare opportunity to ride on camels and give the orangutans in the zoo a share of their food in the area called the children’s world selection.

Orchard Road
Out with your girl friends and best pals for a shopping spree in the city? Orchard Road in Singapore is one of its leading shopping areas. It is found right at the center of tourist activities. Many recommend this place because of its lively and energetic atmosphere.

Found in Singapore’s Orchard Road are many luxury hotels, outstanding restaurants, malls that sell the latest of the biggest international and national brands, cozy coffee bars, classy wine bars, and more if you care to have a look around.

With all that life around this strip, who wouldn’t want to spend a three-day trip there to pamper one’s self and shop?

There are many other places to visit and sights to see in the city. Whether you are out and about in the city for a shopping spree or a sightseeing spree, Singapore offers just that and more!
